Chicago Rawhide avails a load-carrying, elastometric bearing and isolation system designed to absorb, dampen, and/or control large forces simultaneously occurring in several directions. Constructed of special elastomers layered between disks of various metals. Uses include helicopter main rotor and tail rotor bearings and the Boeing AH-64D Apache Longbow is already using this bearing.
