Tail Gearbox Split Fairing

KeyTech, Keystone Helicopter's engineering division receives FAA STC approval to perform modification to the tail rotor gear box fairing for Sikorsky helicopters models S-76A, B, and C. This STC involves changing the existing one-piece fairing into a two-piece part. Benefits of the STC include:

• Avoids the stress that would normally be applied to the original one-piece fairing, which could result in damage to this part over the life of the helicopter
• Reduces the removal and installation time by approximately one-third
• Allows technician to inspect just one side of the gearbox if desired
