Ultrasonic Flaw Detector The Krautkramer USM 32 is easy to use, with a minimum of operating keys, while incorporating the functionality to handle a broad spectrum of inspection tasks. The operating menu is quickly selected by using five menu keys, and functions such as material velocity and range are selected by means of four additional keys. High power lithium ion batteries are fitted as standard to allow at least 10 hours of continuous use. The USM 32 is available in two versions: the USM 32B basic version which has a maximum range of 55.9 inches (1,420 mm) in steel and is suitable for standard applications; and the USM 32L, which has a maximum range of 393.7 inches (9,999 mm) in steel and is designed for inspecting large components or tough-to-penetrate materials.
