Articulating Fiberscope

Instrument Technology Inc. (ITI) has developed, Protecht, a unique patented articulation system that significantly reduces the occurrences of accidental damage to the fiberscope due to rough handling when (1) attempting to articulate the scope in restricted areas, and (2) quick withdrawal of the instrument from tight places before straightening the tip. Protecht also renders the articulating system, with its positive ratchet and brake system, highly responsive to hand control.
